The Journey Begins!

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

The human being has always asked questions, some of which cannot have answers because the question itself is too vague, and because our minds are finite. In the 1970’s, the radio series The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy posed the question – What is the meaning of Life, the Universe and everything. The computer built to calculate the answer (which was of course 42) was eventually commissioned to build another computer to clarify the question, but as those of you familiar with the series will know, that second computer was demolished before the result could be announced.

In this series of articles I contemplate things that do not have direct answers. Perhaps these will stimulate your own thinking.

  1. In regard to the March issue, I would be interested in what you the suggestions you offered to the Bishop that she wasn’t interested in hearing/sharing/commenting on. I am also interested in your remark that only ‘options’ that fall within a predetermined path will be considered.

  2. Light touch lateral thinking about everything from a rural perspective, and with a lifetime of church activity in both pulpit and pew.

    Hi Peter,

Just going to start reading some of your articles.

The above text which is listed on the left of your page comes across faint and for people like myself who have vision issues its difficult to read it.

Is there any way this could be in a different colour?

I hope you are both keeping well.

    Fred
